Regular annual conference of the association Grasevina Croatica was held this year in Feričanci, in the premisses of the old cellar Feravino.
Goals of the associaton are promotion of grasevina, improvement of her production and quality, as well as the development of wine tourism. Considering the goals, present members of the association analyzed advantages and disadvantages of their activities from the last conference.
The president of the association Vlado Krauthaker pointed out: „Grasevina is exported in 24 countries around the world. It holds less than 1% of all wine varities in the world, but it has already proven itself. During the last year, we have made a good plan of marketing activities, but more work is to be done. We have to target certain presentations, and we will do our best to achieve that. Only unity can push us forward so that we can progress in wine business.“
Members of the association Grasevina Croatica have participated last year on En Primeur tasting in Zagreb, Festival of sweet wines in Mantova (Italy), Days of wine and tourism in Osijek, International festival of grasevina in Kutjevo, Days of tasting croatian wines in Crown Plaza in Belgrade, Interfest in Novi Sad, Wine event Randezvous and International festival of wine, delicacies and pleasant living „OSIJEK WINE FEST“. The association also participated in making of the new law about wines, moreover, it gave it’s contribution to activities of the Association of Croatian enology.
Agenda for the 2016. was adopted on the conference. According to the agenda, Grasevina Croatica will organize promotion of wines from Slavonia on certain manifestations, participate on wine manifestations abroad, as well as organize conference about grasevina in Osijek. The plan also includes the foundation of the regional enologist society.
